March Storytellers Blog Circle

Hi Everyone! It has been awhile since I did a blog circle post so if you are new here then this post is one of several in a monthly blog circle made up of photographers. I am still making an effort in getting in the frame with my daughter or just as a self portrait of myself at least once a week for 2018. I am part of an amazing group called #p52radness that not only supports each other on this journey but also helps to keep us accountable for our posts. The March theme is "Movement" which is one of my favorite things to capture! To get this shot I set up a tripod next to the glass slider door in our living room which then gave us the light that I wanted. I use the canon app on my phone along with the WiFi feature on my camera to fire off the shutter which gives me a few seconds to grab my shot. We had a blast dancing in the living room to capture this movement, dizzy with a bunch of laughing is how every fun shoot should go! Capturing the light two different ways was also something I had in mind to try so as I mentioned for this shot I had the camera facing us against the slider light but in the shots below that I set the camera on the floor and shot aiming towards the slider light. Both types of light gave a different feel but I felt both of these told this story in such a beautiful way.
